AD Boat Rental sails from the harbour of Los Gigantes, on the west coast of Tenerife, right below the cliffs. There are two ways to go out: take the helm yourself, or come aboard with a skipper.

With or without a skipper

The Silver 555 (5 m, up to 6 people) is self-drive, for 2, 3, 4 or 6 hours, fuel included. The charter (8 m, up to 9 people) comes with a professional skipper: private, for 3 or 6 hours or a full day, or shared, paying only for your seats.

Boat licence rules since 1 October 2026

Taking the helm of a rental boat now requires a boating licence anywhere in Spain (Royal Decree 1188/2025). Without one, the charter sails with a skipper and nothing is required from you. If you want to drive, bring your licence or get the Spanish navigation licence on our course in Los Gigantes.

What you see from the boat

To the north, the Los Gigantes cliffs and the bay of Masca, reached from the sea. Off the harbour, the protected Teno-Rasca waters, home all year round to short-finned pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins.

Getting here and booking

The harbour is in Santiago del Teide, about 30 minutes by car from Costa Adeje and Playa de las Américas. You book and pay on each boat's page, with live availability. Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before departure, and if the weather does not allow a safe trip, the date is moved or the amount refunded.
